We are looking to hire local guides to work on an occasional basis throughout Sicily in 2022 and beyond.
The post could suit recently-qualified guides as well as more experienced colleagues. Preference will be given to well-presented, enthusiastic and personable individuals with a clearly evident work-ethic. You will be joining a team of highly motivated and knowledgeable young people of whom we are incredibly proud.
The following requisites are non-negotiable:
- possess an excellent knowledge of Sicily’s culture and history and to be able to transmit this easily.
- be a licensed tour guide in Sicily (ie your name must appear in the elenco guide turistiche on the Region of Sicily’s website)
- speak English to at least C2 (ie Upper Advanced) level
- be an exceptional communicator
- be available to work throughout the island on multi-day tours on the dates requested.
- hold the Super Green pass.
- be punctual, polite and well-organised
- be a team player as much as an individual

Interviews will take place throughout January and February. As part of the selection process you will initially be expected to attend a short online interview via Zoom in which you will need to demonstrate your ability in English. If selected to proceed further, you will be asked to complete a handful of short written tests before a second, in-depth interview, in English, in which you will need to demonstrate an exceptional knowledge of Sicily. Short-listed candidates will then be required to pass our training programme before being invited to work for us.
