Our typical itinerary will begin at Great St. Mary’s church, in the heart for the city and from where we can admire the Senate House and Kings College. We then stroll along Kings Parade, past the Corpus Christi clock and St Catherine’s college to the corner of Silver Street and Trumpington Street.
We can then either cut down Mill Lane (for the shorter walk) or continue along Trumpington Street and past the Fitzwilliam museum. In either case we arrive at the Mill Pond before crossing the bridge at Silver Street and skirting round the back of Queens’ College, past Darwin College and onto the Backs.
We return into the city centre via Garrett Hostel Lane and turn left into Trinity Street, past Trinity College and St Johns to the Round church. Here we turn left and head up Bridge Street to Magdalene Bridge from whence it is possible to continue up to Castle Hill if desired.

The standard itinerary includes:
- Gt St Mary’s
- The Senate House
- Kings College
- Corpus Christi College
- St Botolph’s church
- The Mill Pond
- Queens’ College
- The Backs
- Clare Bridge
- Trinity College
- St John’s College
- The Round Church
- Bridge St
- Magdalene Bridge

Some extension ideas:
- Kettle’s Yard
- Castle Hill
- Parkers Piece
- Jesus College
- The University Library
- Newnham
- Grantchester
- Jesus Green

Our itinerary is entirely flexible and can be adapted according to the time you have available, the distance you are happy to walk and the things you would like to see. If you would like to walk out to Grantchester via Grantchester Meadows, that is entirely possible!

At the present time, none of the colleges are open, so it is not possible to visit inside the colleges. However, it is possible to view the colleges from the outside.
In the interests of social distancing, we ask that groups are no larger than 4 persons and that all persons wear masks and respect interpersonal space at all times.
