Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Chipping Campden
Pick up in Moreton-in-Marsh and transfer to Chipping Campden: One of the most beautiful towns in the Cotswolds, Chipping Campden will serve as your base for the first two nights.
Evening meal and overnight in Chipping Campden.
Day 2
Hidcote (7 miles / 11km)
Today we walk to Hidcote House, a charming 17th-century stone manor known for its stunning arts and crafts-inspired gardens. Created by Major Lawrence Johnston, the garden features a series of “outdoor rooms,” each with distinct designs, blending formal and wild elements.
On returning to Chipping Campden in the afternoon, there will be time to explore the town: the Market Hall (built in 1627), and the historic High Street. We can also visit the beautiful St. James’ Church and the Court Barn Museum.

Day 3
Chipping Campden to Broadway (6 miles / 10 km)
Today we walk from Chipping Campden to Broadway, via Dover’s Hill, a stunning viewpoint just outside of Chipping Campden, offering panoramic views over the Cotswold escarpment, and Broadway Tower, a picturesque 18th-century folly offering spectacular views over the countryside (on a clear day, you can see as far as Wales!).
Highlights:
We finish our walk in Broadway Village: a classic Cotswolds village with boutique shops, galleries and tea rooms.

Day 4
Broadway to Winchcombe (10 miles / 16 km)
Today we walk from Broadway to Winchcombe, crossing charming landscapes including Cleeve Hill: the highest point in the Cotswolds, with amazing views over the Malvern Hills and Welsh mountains.
We finish our day’s walk in Winchcombe: A historic town, often called the “walking capital of the Cotswolds”. There is time to explore the town and perhaps visit Sudeley Castle, a residence of Queen Katherine Parr, Henry VIII’s last wife.

Day 5
Winchcombe to Bourton-on-the-Water (11 miles / 18 km)
We walk through gentle rolling hills and small villages towards the famous Bourton-on-the-Water passing through Belas Knap, an ancient Neolithic long barrow and Guiting Power, the idyllic Cotswold village.
We finish our day’s walk at Bourton-on-the-Water which is known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds” and is famous for its low bridges and the River Windrush running through the village.

Day 6
Circular walk around Bourton-on-the-Water (7 miles / 11 km)
Today we take a circular walk exploring the nearby villages of Lower Slaughter and Upper Slaughter, two of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, known for their peaceful beauty.
In the afternoon we return to Bourton-on-the-Water in the afternoon and relax by the river or explore the Model Village and Cotswold Motoring Museum.

Day 7
Bourton-on-the-Water to Moreton-in-Marsh (10 miles / 16 km)
Our walk today start off towards Stow-on-the-Wold where we visit the ancient market square and the medieval church of St. Edward’s, before continuing on our walk through classic Cotswolds countryside to our destination at Moreton-in-Marsh.

Departure from Moreton-in-Marsh
After breakfast, you can either explore Moreton-in-Marsh further or take a train to your onward destination (Moreton-in-Marsh has a direct line to London Paddington, making it convenient for departure).
